GriefShare® is a nondenominational grief support group offered by local churches to help those grieving the death of a loved one find hope and healing. In hosting this ministry for both our church and community, our desire is to create a safe and welcoming place for people of all faiths and beliefs. Based on biblical principles, the 13-week curriculum features:
- Videos – insights and practical strategies from respected counselors, authors, and pastors specializing in grief recovery – as well as everyday individuals sharing relatable grief journeys
- Topics – sadness and loneliness; fear and anxiety; anger; regrets; grief and relationships; questions for God; hope and resilience
- Small group discussion – a supportive time of sharing, hearing from other participants, and personal application of the video topics
- Personal workbook – practical exercises and wisdom for navigating the grieving process; note-taking and journaling sections for personal application and reflection
